Sunday Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2017
Intensely aromatic Sauvignon Blanc is at its most thrilling in Marlborough, New Zealand, where you’ll find a mouthwatering, hugely aromatic style – “one of the world’s great flavor-for-money whites,” says Wine Spectator. And Sunday Bay – which top critic Sam Kim rated 90 points last vintage – is your exhilarating example.
We’d love to be able to tell you the name of the cellar that makes this stunner ... renowned writer Oz Clarke raves about them. Their Sauvignon Blanc is so delicious – and the deal they gave us on their fresh 2017 was so good, our New Zealand specialist Dan Parrott couldn’t say no. The only condition: we agree to keep the estate’s identity a secret, to avoid upsetting their regulars. And upset they would be, if they found out about the deal you were getting.
Look forward to enticing aromas of tropical fruit and fresh-cut grass. Crisp and refreshing, the flavors follow on with an invigorating blast of stone fruit and guava, plus tongue-tingling hints of lime and gooseberry. Serve chilled with goat cheese and beet salad or any kind of fresh shellfish.
